I’ve seen the Hibiya Blossom recommended on here, and am very taken by the wonderful views. Also seen the Daiywa Roynet mentioned, and it seems very convenient for Tokyo station as well as various metro stations.

Lovely views of Tokyo. Shibuya Sky is located at the top of Shibuya Scramble Square. You take a lift from the 14th floor, all the way to the top. The observation deck offers a 360-degree view from 229 meters above Shibuya. It's a great way to see the skyline and various parts of Tokyo.

I would say as soon as you are able to (i.e. your plans are firmed up), especially if you want specific hotels or locations. On booking com, a large number of hotels are book and pay at the property.

I’m beginning to plan a trip to Tokyo and am looking for advice on firstly the best area to stay and secondly some hotel recommendations within that area. I realise that’s a really difficult question but I’d really appreciate some advice. We’re a couple in our 60s.
