Both of my English visa debit cards have always worked in Post Offices and 7-11s in Japan. There is a maximum amount you can withdraw each day. I also change around £200 to £500 to yen before I go, depending on how long my trip will be. I have two different current accounts, one that I use regularly at home and one that is just for travel money.
As usual I plugged my no-fee Visa card into an AEON ATM in Terminal 21 to take advantage of the 150 baht fee (as apposed to the 220 being charged by other banks). Re: Using credit card for payment in Pesos. 8 years ago. In addition to the charge in Pesos, there may be a "currency conversion fee" charged by the credit card issuer or affiliate (i.e., Visa, MasterCard). The amounts should show-up on your monthly statement in your national currency, not Mexican Pesos, if I'm recalling correctly.

All cabs are either yellow (cabs at airports and in most of Manhattan) or light green (cabs that can only be hailed in northern Manhattan and the outer boroughs). Any other for hire vehicle is not a cab, and may or may not take credit cards. Most car service cars do not take credit cards in the car itself unless they're an Uber or Lyft car service.

You should call Cap One and have a PIN assigned as well. At a manned POS, the machine will spit out two slips, one you sign, one is your receipt.
