If it's raining hard, go indoors. Tokyo has so many wonderful museums, but most of them are closed on Mondays. The National Art Center is open on Mondays.
5 天前 · 15th Day report of 21 day trip. Today was to be a rest and recharge day, however after a getting a good night sleep was set to go out. So the plan of doing Himeji and Hiroshima was slightly altered ,and decided to do Himeji today, so that 1 full day I can go around Hiroshima. So took Shinkansen.. sakura 549 to Himeji from Shin osaka ..9.20 am.

In November we'll be ending a 2 and a half week small group trip in Kyoto and want to explore Osaka for a day or so before going home. It looks like we can easily get there on the bullet train.

So my first five days at Shangri-La Tokyo. 2 days at Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan at Takayama. 2 days at Kanazawa. Hotel/Ryokan undecided. 3 days at The Thousand Kyoto. 2 days at Marriott Miyako at Osaka. Please suggest a good Hotel/ryokan at Kanazawa.

The first floor is a supermarket, and the second floor is a mass-market general merchandise store that includes a "travel bags" department. I would describe Aeon as somewhere between Walmart and Target.
