My wife and I are visiting Kyoto, Hiroshima and Tokyo in September and we are wondering whether it is better to purchase a 7 day pass either here in the UK before our departure or on arrival in Japan or indeed if it makes no difference. 5 天前 · Hi all, Hope you can assist!! Understand the cost for JR pass has gone up from October last year and cost almost AU$500 for 7 days.. then read few articles and there's national pass for around $50 of 7 days .

Wondering if that’s sufficient or should I stay the night to have a nicer feel of what the town is like. We’re a family of 2 adults and 3 children and we don’t intend to have onsen baths. Purely exploring the town and probably go up the rope way.
