2021年8月3日 · Any opinions on speed dating in Tokyo for a foreign guy? I grew tired of dating apps and would like to try something different. My Japanese suggested speed dating but I am not sure how the organizers would react to a foreigner.
I did two online video speed dating events last summer, one was great, cool guys got a few matches, went on 4 dates with a guy I met. The other one was horrible! 2 women and 7 guys, these guys were awful!
Most of the group I went with had decided to bring a date this week, and I was feeling kind of goosberry-ish, so I thought I'd try the speed dating event. After all, if there's one place where having a job making computer games and a degree in astrophysics is actually going to impress people this is it, surely?
Going speed dating allowed them to meet lots of new people very quickly. Everyone was in the same boat and when they met each other they clicked and have just moved in together after a year dating. However by the language in your post you're in college. I'd say speed dating there would suck, especially for the women.
2018年1月22日 · I've thought about trying speed dating... every now and then I see a local event advertised on Facebook. The issue is it's always "Registration closed to women, men encouraged to apply" so I picture getting there and finding 20 other women fighting over the 5 men who've signed up.
2023年11月29日 · I've done many speed dating events with mixed results as a very average looking guy. I used to do them a lot maybe 8-10 years ago, but have recently been going to a few again this year. I've got to know the hosts of some of these events quite well and, as a data geek, we've got to talking about the pattern and psychology of them a lot.
