5 天前 · Atami might be a good choice overall if you can spare a couple of nights. You can also visit Hakone as a day trip. Both Okuhida and Shibu Onsen will be less crowded If you are going to see the Snow Monekys, then spending a night at Shibu Onsen is a good choice. Okuhida is probably the one offering the most natural setting.

We arrive on a Friday at 4pm in August then plan to go directly to Kanazawa for 3 nights before travelling to Tokyo. 2 older adults with 2 checked bags and carryon. Looks like train is the best option.

Day 3: Kanazawa to Shirakawa-go to Takayama. Day 4: Takayama. Day 5: Takayama to Gero Onsen. Day 6: Gero Onsen to Osaka. Day 7: Osaka. Day 8: Flight back.

Looking at japan early dec 2 adults 2 children 4 and 7 never been before any reccomendations on what area to stay and hotel ive been researching but its a big place and a little confused with all the areas to stay, will be there 7 days, the tourist things mt fuji disneyland godzilla etc budget mid range 4 star.
