2019年4月4日 · 「ろくもん」誕生於2014年7月，從日本知名的度假勝地輕井澤，到縣廳所在地長野，運行時長約2小時。 列車名稱由來取自與沿線的上田市，有著深厚淵源的武將「真田一族」的家紋「六文錢」（日語裡的發音為ROKUMON），「ろくもん」的形象設計也以6枚硬幣並列，與同樣來源於真田家家紋的「結雁金」和「州浜」一起，遍布於車體、內飾和車票等各處。 深紅色的車體也與真田家的盔甲武器的紅色統一，車輛整體以「赤色裝備」為主題，令人耳目一新。 車輛的設計工作，由設計過許多觀光列車而聞名的工業設計師水戶岡銳治先生負責。 除了車票、限定特產的包裝外，包含「ろくもん」乘客專用的候車室，到信濃鐵道輕井澤站的站舍，都由戶岡銳治打親手打造。 此外，堅持採用本地元素也是這輛觀光列車的一大特徵。
