The Avalanche became the fourth NHL team to win its first three Stanley Cup Finals, joining the New York Islanders (4-0 from 1980-83), the original Ottawa Senators (four in 1920-21, 1923, 1927), and the Toronto Maple Leafs (three in 1918, 1922, 1932).

The Avs’ road record in the postseason was the best in the league and a club record. Their seven-game road winning streak matched the team record from 1999.

Colorado’s 10 come-from-behind wins in the postseason tied the 2009 Pittsburgh Penguins with the most in one year.

The Avs scored seven or more goals four times in the postseason, the most by any team in a playoff year since 1985 when the Edmonton Oilers reached seven goals five times and the Blackhawks four.

Colorado’s record through their first 16 playoffs games tied the best mark to begin a postseason in league history. The 1981 Islanders,1987 and 1988 Oilers, and 2012 Los Angeles Kings also began 14-2.

The Avalanche’s record this postseason is tied for the second-best since the NHL went to a four-round, best-of-seven series format in the 1980s. The 1988 Edmonton Oilers own the record of 16-2.

The Avalanche’s all-time record in the Stanley Cup Final. Colorado finished 4-2 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. It went 4-0 against Florida in 1996 and 4-3 against New Jersey in 2001.

Avalanche goalies Pavel Francouz (6-0) and Darcy Kuemper (10-4) became the fourth pair of teammates in NHL history to each win at least six games in a single postseason.

Conn Smythe Trophy winner Cale Makar led the Avs with 29 postseason points, the fourth most among any defenseman in a playoff year and most since 1994. The Oilers’ Paul Coffey had 37 points in 1985, Brian Leetch of the New York Rangers had 34 in ’94 and Al MacInnis had 31 for the Calgary Flames in 1989.

Colorado’s points from defensemen this postseason (18 goals, 51 assists), a club record, and the most by a blueline in any four-round postseason since the 1984-85 Oilers (77).
