Patient Medicine Information. Why do I need this medicine? Bromhexine is used to help clear the chest by making the phlegm (mucus) less sticky and thick so that it can be easier to cough up. It is usually used in certain conditions, such as common cold, flu, or infection of the airways, where excess phlegm is produced. How do I take this medicine?
Indications and Dosage. Oral. Mucolytic. Adult: For the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases or conditions associated with excessive mucous secretion: 8 mg tid as needed, may be increased to 16 mg tid for the 1st 7 days.
Indications/Uses. Regular treatment of asthma where use of a combination (inhaled corticosteroid & long-acting β 2 -agonist) is appropriate in adults & adolescents who are symptomatic on inhaled corticosteroid therapy; or who are established on regular long-acting β 2 -agonist & inhaled corticosteroid therapy.
Contents. Per tab Dihydrocodeine bitartrate 5 mg, guaifenesin 50 mg, DL-methylephedrine HCl 17.5 mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 1.5 mg. Per 100 mL syrup Dihydrocodeine bitartrate 50 mg, DL-methylephedrine HCl 131.25 mg, guaifenesin 375 mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 15 mg.
Sedation for diagnostic & surgical procedures Adult Usually 0.5-1 mg/kg over 1-5 min. Maintenance Titrate to the desired level of sedation, usually 1.5-4.5 mg/kg/hr. May be supplemented by bolus administration of 10-20 mg if a rapid increase of the depth of sedation is required.
Indications/Uses. Excessive accumulation of gas in the GIT which may cause tension & fullness in the epigastrium, eructations, flatus. Relief of flatulence & meteorism. In infants, relief of colic or wind, flatulence & abdominal discomfort.
