Forbidden City-The Palace Museum. Consisting of more than 9,000 rooms and spread over 250 acres, this huge palace complex was built in the 15th century and later extensively renovated and restored during the Qing Dynasty in the 18th century. These monkeys live freely in the park, it is 600yen (for adults) to enter. There is about a 20-30minute hike up to where the park is - so be prepared, some areas are steep. Once you reach the top there are panoramic views of Kyoto, and monkeys roaming freely. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting Arashiyama!
