These monkeys live freely in the park, it is 600yen (for adults) to enter. There is about a 20-30minute hike up to where the park is - so be prepared, some areas are steep. Once you reach the top there are panoramic views of Kyoto, and monkeys roaming freely. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting Arashiyama!

From Kawaguchiko Station Platform 1, you can take the Kawaguchiko Sightseeing Bus Red-Line to the last stop, stop 22, for Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center and Oishi Park. The bus ride costs 480 yen and takes around 30 minutes. The bus frequency is around every 15 minutes. Natural Living Center and Oishi Park have no entrance fee.
