Mary was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Hong Kong in March 2017, and took on an expanded role as Cluster CEO for Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau in January 2021. She joined the Group’s Management Team in December 2021. She is currently a Board member of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited and Chairperson of the Board of Standard Chartered Bank (Taiwan) Limited.
18 January 2017, Hong Kong – Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Standard Chartered Hong Kong”) today appointed Mary Huen, currently Regional Head of Retail Banking, Greater China and North Asia (GCNA), as the new Chief Executive Officer for Hong Kong. Mary will succeed May Tan, who will retire as CEO for Hong Kong after 32 years of service in the financial industry.
