  1. CSL - There are 2 subsidiaries under CSL, 1010 and one2free. 1010 is considered THE BEST in town but they are also the most expensive... (I'd say at least 30% more expensive then the others). one2free is middle of the road but good performance and wide coverage

  2. Answer 1 of 5: Will it make some difference if i buy One2free or 1010 or csl sim card on my arrival in hongkong. Is the signal reception(signal range at different location throughout city) same for any of these networks (as i have heard all are sister brands)??

  3. #4- yep..this is just one of the many variants of prepaid SIM card from CSL's One2Free(CSL's other brand is 1010). So at say,HKD88,it comes preloaded with airtime credit which allows you to make IDD calls.

There is a 1010 store (pperated by one of the largest mobile companies in HK, csl) at the arrival hall next to 7-11. Simply get a tourist SIM there and you can ask the staff there if you have problems. Just make sure your phone is SIM free.

  5. 1. Re: Best Sim Card for Hong Kong. 11 years ago. Save. at HKIA- you can go to departure public hall -and two telcos have their shops there- "3HK" and "1010" (part of CSL). Just make sure your phone is unlocked. and have compatibility for GSM900/1800 (as US is GSM850/1900) or 3G2100.

  6. Yep, absolutely right-- 3HK, CSL-1010, one2free, ChinaMobile-Peoples, Smartone Vodafone, PCCW

  7. You can just buy a prepaid SIM card on arrival at any 7-Eleven, CSL, 1010, One2Free stores. I personally prefer CSL as I have found its coverage and signal quality to be the best. There are also other cell. phone service providers in HKG e.g. 3 Hong Kong which also has a store at the airport.
