2024年5月4日 · I've gone to the website many people have recommended, https://www.jma.go.jp/jma/indexe.html but I don't see where to get a 2 week forecast for specific cities. I see where I can find it by prefecture, but not individual cities. I need 2 week forecasts, and then the next few days forecast, and then daily forecasts.

2023年5月30日 · Since being here 8 days, I can confidently say….the weather forecasting here is VERY accurate…more so than ours in Calgary. The 100+mm forecasted in Tokyo last week was spot on, and on our hike through Kumano Kodo, the exact times when the rain was expected to start was accurate to the hour (we got wet one day)!

I agree with Renga that Japanese weather forecasts can be pretty unreliable several days out, let alone a week or more. I think it's a good idea to have some backup plans for rainy days, however. And when you do get good weather, take advantage of it. If you get nice days towards the beginning of your trip, don't squander them on indoor activities.
