下部被稱為「袴」（讀作Hakama），是日本和服的一種下裳。 具體說來就是一種寬鬆的褲裙，覆蓋了從腰到脚的部分。 袴的樣式在平安時代成形，最初發起於武士階級，到後來穿法才逐漸豐富起來，在正式場合的男性傳統禮服的下裳，便是由袴所演變而來的。 凸顯尚武精神的大口袴、指貫 (奴袴)、馬乘袴為男性專屬，而所謂女袴，則是指飛鳥和奈良時代的日本貴族女子所穿著的下身衣褲。 到了平安時代中期，女袴成為重要的禮服，通常是緋色的捻襠袴，被稱為緋袴。 明治以後的行燈袴，則憑藉著穿著起來簡易舒適的便利性再度在女性當中盛行，本來行燈袴只是馬乘袴的簡略版，算不得什麼正裝，但進入現代社會，這種款式的「袴」已與馬乘袴共同作為禮服，登堂入室了。

2017年12月21日 · Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya. The original shrine atop Komagatake peak was rebuilt in 1964 as Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (箱根神社元宮・Hakone Jinja Mototsumiya). Accessible via the Hakone Komagatake Ropeway (箱根駒ヶ岳ロープウェー), the summit offers great views of Mount Fuji and the surrounding area on a clear day. It's also believed to be a power spot.
