上町台地の夕陽丘に鎮座する神社で愛染堂勝鬘院の隣、愛染坂の上に位置します。四天王寺の鎮守で四天王寺七宮の一つとして聖徳太子により建立されたそうです。木々の覆われた静かな境内です。狛犬ならぬ狛虎が守っています。

广德寺在文革“除四旧”中被破坏，当时尚且没有恢复，仅剩天王殿、藏经楼、多宝佛塔等几处建筑，我国多佛塔只有七座，广德寺里的多宝佛塔始建于明弘治七年，砖石仿木结构，由塔座及塔峰两部分组成，塔身共嵌有48尊石雕佛像，为八角形。
