The Dental Council of Hong Kong is established under the Dentists Registration Ordinance, Chapter 156, Laws of Hong Kong. It provides for the registration and regulation of the dental profession in order to protect patients, foster ethical conduct, and develop and upkeep the ethical standard of the profession.

The Dental Council of Hong Kong is established under the Dentists Registration Ordinance, Chapter 156, Laws of Hong Kong. The major roles of the Council are to regulate the dental profession in order to protect patients, foster ethical conduct, and develop and upkeep the ethical standard of the profession.
2014年1月1日 · The Dental Council of Hong Kong continues to implement a voluntary continuing education program for practising dentists. The purpose of the program is to encourage practicing dentists to keep themselves up-to-date on current developments in clinical dental practice so as to maintain a high professional standard.

2024年5月22日 · The Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) welcomes the suggestions of the Dental Council of Hong Kong (DCHK) to require local dental graduates to undergo a one-year internship before registering as dentists. This came after the government agreed with DCHK's recommendation on the implementation of the proposed dental internship.
