Skyscanner gets the prices from providers (airlines and online travel agents). Now a lot of these online travel agents do not have live prices, do not show all their hidden costs / fees. So in summary: Skyscanner is good to give you ideas re. routes, schedules.

4 reviews. Skyscanner & British Airways. 5 years ago. So I'm confused. To book my flight directly on BA website they are quoting me £890. If I look on skyscanner, the same flight is offered for £725 again booking directly with BA (but the booking page looks a lot different to the one on their website). Is this legit as it seems odd?

Do any of the package holiday places like Expedia do this or would I literally have to resort to SkyScanner and buy each individual flight /hotel myself?

Answer 1 of 33: Hi, I found cheap deals in flight tickets in skyscanner.com but it seem too good to be true as i never heard most of the travel agent it directed me. Has anyone booked ticket from skyscanner before?
47 reviews. 58 helpful votes. Skyscanner prices wildly different when you price separately. 5 years ago. Looking at flights from Heathrow to Myanmar via Bangkok so I search Skyscanner and the price comes up as £1497. I then search for the *exact* same flights separately, still on Skyscanner, and the price is £598 in total.
For example Skyscanner is giving me a cost with British airways and LATAM at NZD$1180 one way, however when I go to the airline directly the cost is up to NZD$3700 one way which is a HUGE difference. Finding it difficult to understand how Skyscanner can give me a cost for less than half the price.
