Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is owned by a joint venture company, Hongkong International Theme Parks Limited, with shareholders, the Hong Kong Government and The Walt Disney Company. As of the end of fiscal 2022, the Hong Kong Government holds 52 per cent of shares in the company and The Walt Disney Company holds 48 per cent.
HKDL has installed more than 7,500 rooftop solar panels at 47 locations within the resort, establishing the largest solar panel site in Hong Kong. With an annual power generation exceeding 3.3 million kWh, this sustainable energy source can provide electricity for over 1,000 three-person households.
