In order to enhance the competence of Fork-lift truck operators and safe operations, the Government requires mandatory training for workers operating such machines in all industrial undertakings through the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Loadshifting Machinery) Regulation.

Fork-lift truck operators who have obtained Fork-lift Truck Operation Certificates from OSHC should notice that their certificates are valid for 5 years. Holders of these certificates should join the revalidation course, otherwise they are not allowed to operate fork-lift trucks.
