  5. You can purchase local sim cards from convenience stores like 7-Eleven stores, mobile phone stores like 3 and others, etc. Yes, sim cards will work in Macau, but most likely, you'll be considered to be roaming, so, will pay higher charges for that usually.

  7. I should have no problem getting a prepaid SIM card in Hong Kong. But getting one in Taiwan seems to be a little more difficult because of the government requirement and time constraint. I saw in a different discussion someone was able to use the SIM card that they purchased in Hong Kong to make calls in Taiwan.
