Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't see anything recently and the FCO advice doesn't look like it's been updated since June. Is is still mandatory to wear masks on public transport and in shops or have all restrictions now been dropped? Many thanks.
Yes. On long-distance trains, such as the ICE or IC/EC, you'll need an FFP2 mask, so bring a comfortable one as you'll wear it for many hours. And on the other public transport, such as the subway, RE train, S-Bahn, city buses, etc., a surgical mask is sufficient.

I know its not compulsory but Eurostar still "recommend" the wearing of masks. I'm guessing that less than 5% are wearing them these days but just wondered what the proportion is?
