The power voltage is different Germany (230v) and Japan (100v), so you need a large transformer to use a JP model washlet in Germany and plug adapter. If you have voltage concern, a portable washlet is possibly good for you.

If this is the case you just buy a new powerblock/adapter in the UK. In this forum there are many discussions on using Japanese electric equipment (like washlets, cookers etc) in the US or Europe.
