   通訊辦發言人表示：「5G服務不斷發展，全面的5G網絡覆蓋不但能滿足市民對高速可靠流動服務的需求，亦有助推動更多創新應用，進一步帶動香港智慧城市的發展。 我們鼓勵更多大廈參與標籤計劃，並與營辦商合作，透過裝設在大廈內的5G基站，加強室內場所的流動網絡覆蓋及容量，同時提升參與大廈的整體形象。 隨着《2024年電訊（修訂）條例》於今年二月二十一日於立法會三讀通過，落實二 二二年《施政報告》中有關推動5G發展的建議，日後指明的新建及重建樓宇（包括商業、工業、住宅和旅館樓宇）將會預留適當空間讓流動網絡營辦商裝設和維持流動通訊設施，新建的政府建築物及公營房屋亦會跟隨有關安排以裝設流動通訊設施。 有關的《工作守則》亦會訂明流動網絡營辦商須盡可能於室內公用部分設置5G通訊設備。
