Suggest to purchase an "Octopus" card, a stored value cash card for local transportation, small purchases at convenience stores, etc.

  8. It's our first visit to this part of the world and following enquiries on the Ko Samui forum, we were advised not to over use our credit card as it could leave us open to scams. Our hotel is prepaid so can someone advise where it would be safe to use credit cards.
