I’ve found a package from China Mobile’s UK business for a data roaming plan that covers both Hongkong and mainland China (as well as some EU countries).

2024年4月11日 · All prepaid SIM products from China Mobile HK support 1-card-MULTIPLE-numbers (HK/China/ Macau). No need to ask for specific one. Instead pick one that suits your local use pattern. 1-card-2-numbers also available from PCCW, 3HK and Smartone on specific cards.
2024年6月27日 · China mobile gives out China local number to monthly plan HK customers. You can buy those HK issued china SIM cards in Amazon or apliu street. However, without a local china phone number, you should still be able to use most of the Chinese app.
the China Mobile 1-card-2-Number is probably the best deal for me. I know it was mentioned it is cheaper to buy 2 separte SIM card in Hk and China, but I am joining a tour in China.
