The basketball competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, will be held from 27 July to 11 August 2024. Preliminary 5-on-5 basketball matches will occur at Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille, with the final phase staged at the Accor Arena in Paris.
Who qualifies for Olympic basketball? A total of 12 teams, each in the men’s and the women’s competition, qualify for the basketball event at the Olympic Games. While seven teams can gain entry through the FIBA World Cup, four slots are determined through the FIBA Olympic qualifying tournament. The last remaining slot is reserved for the hosts.
