Chitosetsuru Sake Museum: Sapporo’s Oldest Brewery. Earning the honor of being Sapporo’s first sake brewery, Chitosetsuru has continued to be in operation since its founding in 1872. At this brewery turned museum, the history of brewing culture is alive and well.
The adjoining Chitosetsuru Sake Museum offers sake sampling, mainly ginjo, junmai, and honjozo varieties. It also carries sake that is only available at the brewery and seasonal products, so it’s the perfect place for learning about the sake of Sapporo.
