   傳統的方法是讓兒童在九宮格中練習寫字，甚至有描紅的方法；不過，這些方法只適合練習書寫毛筆字，並不完全適合硬筆字，而且這些方法也未能夠幫助兒童有效掌握漢字的間架結構。 要掌握漢字的間架結構，必須要了解漢字的部件組合模式。 這裡介紹一些常見的漢字部件組合形式： 「單一結構」 ： 這類型的字只有一個部件，所以又稱為「獨體字」。 這類字通常筆畫比較少，結構比較簡單，例如：「水、中、下、馬」等字。 「上下結構字」 ： 這類字是由兩個部件組合而成的，兩個部件的結構模式是「上下組合」型，像：「思、古、早、岩」等字。 「左右結構字」 ： 這類字也是由兩個部件組合而成，不過部件的組合模式是由左至右排列，像：「休、相、明、地」等字。
