Who we are The Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute (HKJCDPRI) was set up in 2014 with the generous donation from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Housed in and led by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, the HKJCDPRI aims to build a prepared community in Hong Kong to respond to disasters.
HKJCDPRI is based at the HKAM, and partners with CCOUC, HKU and Harvard. We focus on the need for competencies on knowledge, skills as well as attitude to reduce disaster loss and suffering. Join us in our training and exchange activities to build a community of practice in disaster preparedness and response.

2019. In 2017, HKJCDPRI collaborated with HKSKHLMC to launch a half-year “Community Education Campaign on Disaster Resilience and Housing Risks for Sub-divided Flat Residents”. Through community education mobile stations and home visits, the campaign hoped to better the tenants’ knowledge on mental health, home safety and hygiene.
The HKJCPRI e-learning platform offers you with a wide range of online learning opportunities including E-Learning courses that are developed by us and/or our partners. E-Learning courses require users to register with our Moodle e-learning system which keeps track of what you have studied and keeps record of your study status.
