Once used as daily wares, artefacts often feature colours and patterns comparable in style and beauty to modern designs.

2021年7月27日 · 是次展覽聚焦二次大戰後至二千年代初香港流行音樂、電影、電視及電台廣播節目的發展，旁及漫畫和玩具，透過闡述香港流行文化的演變，社會背景和藝術特色，冀引領大家尋找香港過去的發展軌跡，同時承傳香港的多元文化。 展覽展出多項珍貴展品，包括演員蕭芳芳博士六十年代於粵語歌舞片中穿着的珠片迷你裙；歌手許冠傑於一九七八年獲頒的《半斤八両》白金唱片；已故歌手梅艷芳、張國榮及羅文的的舞台服飾；已故歌手黃家駒的第一支木結他；一九七三年度首屆香港小姐競選的入場券；電影海報設計師阮大勇的電影海報手稿；以及設計師靳埭強的海報作品、獎座及藏書等。 出席典禮的其他主禮嘉賓包括博物館諮詢委員會主席黃遠輝、康樂及文化事務署署長劉明光及香港文化博物館總館長盧秀麗。 多名樂壇、電視、電影和廣播界的前輩及新晉藝人亦有到場支持。
