You’ll have heard of ChatGPT, one of many large language models sweeping the internet and shaking up global education. We’ve started to consider the implications of AI-based tools for teaching and learning at HKU and plan to launch a broad-based campus debate involving both teachers and students.
香港大學早前允許教職員通過 Azure OpenAI 服務免費使用 AI 聊天機器人 ChatGPT，並設立了 9 項使用條款，但僅限於工作及研究用途。 副校長何立仁表示，將於 4 月 17 日至 6 月 30 日允許港大教職員試行通過 Azure OpenAI 服務使用 ChatGPT，期間教職員可免費使用，每日有限額。 校方亦會開發一個儀表板以監察和預測港大員工就 ChatGPT 的使用情況。 而服務目前尚未對學生開放，但港大承諾，當制定學生使用 AI 工具的政策及指南後，會開放平台給學生使用。 根據港大 ChatGPT 服務網頁，當中列明了 9 項教職員使用條款，包括： ChatGPT僅限用於與工作和研究相關的目的，不得出於個人原因或任何其他與工作無關的活動使用。
This seminar aims to provide the platform to explore and discuss the use of ChatGPT and AI technologies in higher education. Through a SWOT analysis and examples, we will explore the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with the integration of such tools into higher education.
