    Who we are. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute (HKJCDPRI) was set up in 2014 with the generous donation from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Housed in and led by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, the HKJCDPRI aims to build a prepared community in Hong Kong to respond to disasters.

  6. Global Emergency Medical Teams Project. On 8 April 2015, the World Health Organization (WHO) established a Global Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs, previously known as “Foreign Medical Teams”) Initiative to enable WHO to build a global roster of EMTs ready to be deployed in sudden onset disasters.

  7. On 8 – 12 October 2018, the overseas training fellowship programme “Crisis and Emergency Management Course” organised by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute (HKJCDPRI) in collaboration with the Operational Command Training Organisation (OCTO) took place in Manchester, United Kingdom (UK).
