2017年10月25日 · 寶珊道在1972年發生山泥傾瀉悲劇，針對有關地段地形較易形成高地下水位，從而引發山泥傾瀉的問題， 土力工程處設計並建立創新及可持續地下水位調控系統，配合現行措施防止山泥傾瀉。 新系統能實時監控及調節地下水水位，大大減少區內大型山泥傾瀉的風險。 此系統具穩健性，能有效控制地下水水位，因而獲得2012/2013工程創意大獎建造組別第三名。 香港賽馬會災難防護應變教研中心及香港醫學專科學院獲土力工程處邀請，在2017年10月23日參觀寶珊排水隧道，了解山泥傾瀉安全措施。 在參觀期間，雙方交流與災難防護及應變有關公眾教育的意見及經驗。 土力工程處人員講解寶珊排水隧道的運作模式。
