為培育新一代語言專才，人文學院所提供的語言學課程亦會改組，成為 語言科學、翻譯學及言語治療（榮譽）文/理學士組合課程（BA (Hons）/BSc （Hons）Scheme in Language Sciences, Translation, and Speech Therapy） 。 新課程將加入語言數據分析及言語治療等新元素，讓學生充分掌握切合社會需要的專業知識。 於二年級時，學生可按興趣和專長，從言語治療、語言學及翻譯學，以及語言科學與語言數據分析三個範疇中選擇合適的主修。 其中 言語治療（榮譽）理學士課程 參考英國、美國、加拿大和澳洲等地的言語治療師執業/註冊標準設計，學生畢業後可擔任言語治療師，服務醫院管理局、學校和私人診所等機構。
