Avenue of Stars is opened on April 27th 2004. In October 2019, it has been closed for the major repair and improvement work. Now it reopened on January 31st 2019. Currently there are over 107 plaques honoring the celebrities, opera-stars, scriptwriters and directors of Hong Kong movies.
