   2012年6月3日 · 香港政府一直帶頭使用電動車。 去年我曾在預算案中宣布，政府車隊換車時會優先選購電動車，估計兩年內會購入近二百部不同類型的電動車。 現時，政府車隊中已有33輛電動車，未來數月還再會有42輛陸續交付予各部門使用。 在本財政年度，政府還打算再增加購入140多輛不同類型的電動車。 為了鼓勵各界使用電動車，政府已經豁免電動車的首次登記稅，為期五年，直至2014年3月底，而企業購買電動車，有關資本開支在首年即可以享有100%的利得稅扣減優惠。 政府還會撥款一億八千萬元，供專營巴士公司購置36輛電動巴士。 政府為鼓勵企業車隊引入電動車，去年成立了「綠色運輸試驗基金」。 基金如今已收到四十多份申請，獲批的24份申請的資助額已經達到六千一百萬元。 要推動電動車普及化，必須要有完善的公共充電網絡。
