A chiller is a component that is used to cool water. If the water is cooled to below 0 °C, then a water/glycol mixture is often used to prevent the water from freezing. The cooled water is pumped from the chiller to a water/air or water/water heat exchanger, where it can be used to cool air or water respectively.
