2024年5月29日 · 港聞. 醫務衞生局局長繼續在日內瓦出席第七十七屆世界衞生大會. 05月29日 10:00 香港政府新聞公報. 醫務衞生局局長盧寵茂教授昨日（日內瓦時間五月二十八日）繼續在瑞士日內瓦出席世界衞生組織（世衞）第七十七屆世界衞生大會，並藉此與其他與會代表和世衞官員會面，說好香港故事、說好國家故事。 在世界衞生大會的第二日會期，盧寵茂教授和衞生署署長林文健醫生繼續以中國代表團成員身分出席了全體會議。 國家衞生健康委員會副主任曹雪濤同場就內地的醫療衞生發展發表演辭。 除了出席全體會議外，盧寵茂教授和林文健醫生亦與哈薩克斯坦共和國衞生部第一副部長Timur Sultangaziyev會面，就推動傳統醫藥發展、醫護人才培訓，以及發展基層醫療健康等交流和分享經驗。

2024年5月10日 · 阿斯利康在當地時間本週三發佈的一份聲明中表示，隨著多款新冠肺炎疫苗產品的問世，加上可供使用的針對病毒最新變異的疫苗產品產能嚴重過剩，導致了對Vaxzevria的需求下降。 基於此，阿斯利康決定撤回Vaxzevria在歐洲的商業化授權。 5月10日，新京報記者在歐洲藥品管理局（EMA）官網也查到一份關於下架Vaxzevria的聲明。 這也就意味著，該疫苗產品將不再被允許在歐盟國家上市或銷售。 阿斯利康表示，將與其他國家和地區的監管機構合作，以在推進該事項的進程中與各方保持一致，包括在預計到不會再產生商業需求的地區撤銷該疫苗的商業化授權。 阿斯利康同時表示，為Vaxzevria所發揮的所用感到無比自豪，公司的努力，得到了世界各國政府的認可，並被認為是結束新冠全球大流行的關鍵因素。
