    2017年1月15日 · I would use Doug's approach. With the wood shown in the pic you're going to get some bleed and discolouration no matter what method you use and whether the epoxy is tinted or not. As Jim mentioned it soaks into wood and its because of this its used to stabilize wood that is in a state of decay.

Polyurethane would be the best finish but you would have to remove as much of the wax as possible. Scuff the surface before coating. Good luck and let us know what happens.

  10. 02-17-2008, 12:18 PM. Howard, I used some Chair Doctor Glue on some wooden kitchen chairs that we picked up at Value Village. This was over six months ago. The chairs had loose/wiggly joints. I put the chairs upside down on the bench and dribbled the glue all around each tenon -- I was VERY generous with the glue.
