Catering facilities at various outlets on campus are provided by the University to eligible users. Campus Catering. There are different catering outlets on campus, providing about 2,700 seats in total and offering an extensive range of Asian and Western cuisines to suit different needs of the University community. The canteens, cafés and kiosks cater for the basic needs of students and staff for fast, low-priced and yet nutritious meals.
We operate our 24-hour Campus Control Centre with Security Surveillance and Access Control Systems. For safety and security purposes, most of the University premises are under CCTV surveillance and there are guidelines and regulations on access provisions.
PolyU offers a wide variety of indoor and outdoor sports facilities, including stadiums, swimming pools, basketball/volleyball courts, badminton courts, squash courts, tennis courts, table tennis rooms, fitness rooms, activity rooms to eligible users at a nominal fee.
Lecture Theatres. Lecture theatres provide spacious, airy and well-equipped learning spaces. Fitted out with appropriate seating arrangement, they provide the perfect learning environment for any number of students and can accommodate different conferences, seminars, trainings and ceremonies. Advocating Resource Consciousness. PolyU is fully aware of the necessity to protect the health of all campus users and the environment from the hazards posed by waste disposal; to conserve energy and natural resources through waste recycling and recovery; to reduce the amount of waste generated and to ensure that wastes are properly managed.
ENTERING THE CAMPUS. All authorised persons holding a valid Smart Card or external visitors having a valid QR code can enter the campus. To get a QR code for external visitors, staff and students having valid NetIDs should log in the online Visitor Registration System (VRS) and make a request.
Repair and Maintenance. We render our greatest effort to maintain the campus environment and ensure the premises are in good conditions. We take care of building fabrics including plumbing, finishes, fixture and fittings.
PolyU is located at the centre of the city which can be accessed by a variety of transportation means. The University has its fully-functioned carpark where cars and other vehicles can be parked and left temporarily, offering convenient parking facilities to users.
Our office supports the University in achieving environmental excellence on various fronts, including carbon footprint reduction, waste reduction, resource conservation, and promoting green living. We make annual plans for works and facilities upgrade as well as environmental awareness promotion.
Together with research experts of the University, we are developing new platforms and solutions for building management and energy performance monitoring, incorporating AI and IoT technologies. We are engaging the campus community to become more ‘energy-aware’ and get involved in saving energy.
As campus strategies focus on resource efficiency and the increasingly dynamic use of the campus, we are here to support sustainability-related research and various campus management decisions by enabling various smart campus tools and platforms.

There are times when campus users need removal services to take care of documents, furniture, laboratory equipment, machinery, event set-up and dismantling, and we are always here to help. We will deploy different contractors as appropriate and bring in specialists to perform risk assessment to ensure a smooth, healthy and safe removal operation.
Clinics. University Clinics and Health Centres. Clinics and health centres on PolyU campus are vitally necessary in order to provide care for illnesses and injuries and direct services for the campus community and/or members of the public with special needs.
