Shatin to Central Link (SCL) Island Section’s first Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Athena was launched on the 29 th of March 2016 at the former Police Officers’ Club work site, which marked the first major milestone for the SCL Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter to Admirality Tunnels – Contract No. 1128 (SCL 1128) project.
This project is part of the overall new MTRC Shatin to Central underground line. The value is HK$5.25B and it comprises tunnel sections from Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter to Admiralty. Vector was appointed at tender stage to carry out quantity checking of major structural elements.
