Some smaller local rental companies operate on Turo, but more often it's someone's personally owned car. Not Sixt, they are trash. National/Enterprise seems good. However I have never had any issues with Europcar (Rick Steves recommends it) or Thrifty (esp in Hawaii).

Please do NOT rent a car seat. You don’t know the history, cleaning, or anything that was done to it. If you’re flying, your kids obviously have their own seat so just take your seats on the plane with you. They should sit in a car seat on the plane anyway.

They usually give you a list of a few major car rental car agencies and don’t tell you which one until you pay. Direct as the company I work for offers a better deal when booking direct, than third party sites.
2022年7月26日 · You need to drive 20 hours a week to pay for rental and the car is for you to use for other times. I just saw an ad and looked into it. It’s about $240-290/week depending on the car (I saw some for 315/week and one that was 40/hourly). They also said you can get $40 back if you take an Uber to pick up your rental!

According to the Enterprise website to rent you need to have a valid license (G2 is fine), valid form of payment, and meet the age restrictions (must be over 21, if you're under 25 you'll have to pay an extra ~$20 per day) Chiming in, I was able to use a G2 at Hertz and Budget. Just use Turo. Easy peasy. I looked up online and got mixed answers.
Just a quick positive anecdote: Rented a car from Vacanza rent a car in Chania, just for 2 days for a total of $137.82 usd (mid-May, 2023) for a Suzuki Celerio with manual transmission. Went to the office the night before and set up the terms and came back the next morning to sign the agreement, pay, and get the car.

2022年1月3日 · I booked a car out of Mexico City for $20/day with Hertz. Even though I am a Gold member at Hertz, the same car was $47 a day direct. And, I paid with miles, so it was effectively free in cash at least. We got all of the flights for two, rental car and some hotels on the free points we got with the card, saving $1200 expenses.
