MORI ART MUSEUM [ル・コルビュジエ展] セクション解説. セクション1：「アートを生きる」 1887年、スイスで誕生したル・コルビュジエは、1917年にスイスからパリに居を移し、まず絵画の制作に熱意を傾けた。 このセクションでは、主に初期のピュリズム期の絵画作品を展示している。 中でも油彩画「暖炉」（1918年）には、暖炉の上に白い矩形の物体が描かれており、これこそ彼の抱いていた近代建築の原イメージだったのではないかと思わせる点で、きわめて興味深い。 建築資料として一点のみ展示された《ロンシャンの礼拝堂》模型は、1965年にル・コルビュジエが、当時の文化相アンドレ・マルローに寄贈した貴重な模型である。
