持續進修 (CPD) 計劃. 「電氣安全諮詢委員會」於 2009 年 9 月的會議中，建議機電工程署為註冊電業工程人員設立一項持續進修的機制，藉以提升註冊電業工程人員的水平。 經諮詢業界後，機電工程署計劃於 2012 年實施「註冊電業工程人員持續進修計劃」（「持續進修計劃」）。 有關計劃的推行已於 2011 年 4 月的「電氣安全諮詢委員會」會議中得到委員會的同意，並於 2012 年 1 月 1 日實施。 由當天起，所有註冊電業工程人員在每次遞交註冊續期申請前，必須完成單元一及單元二的培訓。 此外，機電工程署於 2020 年就「持續進修計劃」展開檢討及諮詢業界，並於 2020 年 9 月的「電氣安全諮詢委員會」會議中得到委員會的同意進一步推展單元三的多元化學習，以自願型式參與及記錄。
