Assuming this is a simple renewal (expired passport is not lost, no name changes, etc.), indeed you can submit the application online (can Google to find the link). Don’t have to deal with paper sizes at all. You can pay using a credit card.

Recently I heard that HKSAR passport is required when applying for China Home Return permit. If I am not mistaken, that policy came into practice starting 2005.
2018年3月5日 · I thinkg the HKSAR passport merely acts as a photo ID to confirm the child’s identity. Your daughter could probably even enter and leave HK (as a permanent resident) on her HKID + British passport. You should also consider sending the HKSAR passport renewal application for you daughter by post from the UK now.

2014年9月18日 · My BNO passport has been expired ages ago, and recently I'm considering of renewing it (I'm holding the HKSAR passport now so I don't really NEED the BNO passport) I am aware the typical procedure is to FedEx the application from HK, and they'll FedEx a new passport back to you.
2019年5月29日 · My hong kong passport and ID have been expired for 3 years. Well you must have another passport to be able to stay in another country that long with an expired HKSAR Passport / ID. use that to fly to HK and then go apply for renewal.

The next passport will still show your current foreign name and the added Chinese name in Chinese characters, only. Q2 can travel with your current passport. 2018年4月19日 · Based on USA today How to Renew a Hong Kong Passport | USA Today I read its also possible to submit a HKSAR passport renewal online if one can pick it up in the travel document office in Wanchai. Which should be less of a hassle then dealing with trips to the Chinese embassy or consulate offices overseas.
