The Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) programme prepares university graduates to teach in Hong Kong in sectors ranging from kindergartens to secondary schools. The PGDE is a teacher training qualification recognized by the Education Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
The PGDE is outcomes- and inquiry-based, encouraging students to draw upon evidence and educational theory to reflect upon their own practice and make informed analyses of how theory is applied in a wide range of educational contexts. The programme employs an approach, which emphasizes theory-practice integration of all credit-bearing components.
Applications for September 2025 intake will be open in late October 2024. Your application with a fee of HK$300, which is non-refundable and non-transferable, should be submitted online at https://admissions.hku.hk/tpg/programme/postgraduate-diploma-education. Early submission is highly encouraged.
