由香港艺术中心主办，届ifva是一个旨在推广香港及亚洲独立影像媒体创作人的摇篮及推手。 1995年始于年，届ifva前名为「香港独立短片及录像比赛」，以比赛为平台，历年来造就了不少本地及国际上举足轻重的电影及媒体创作人，涉猎的范畴包括短片，录像，动画及媒体艺术。 本着突破框框的信念和强调独立精神，届ifva一路蜕变演进，推动各种影像的文化及探索创意媒体的无限可能，除一年一度的比赛和届ifva节，更着力举办「创意策动」及「全民参与」两大范畴下的各种计划，旨在承传独立精神，连结创意社群。 届ifva亦是每年香港影视娱乐博览的核心项目。
