2022年3月8日 · Open the Oculus app and remove the rift S device. Plug in the USB 3.0 part of your rift S cable. Start a new device set up. Once you have a green light on the USB 3.0 only then do you plug in the display part of your cable. go to sensor check, if all goes well you'll get two green lights and it will pass.

2021年10月11日 · My Oculus Rift S lenses/screens weren't turning on and would only greet you with a black screen that would not turn on when you placed it on your head and also the white dot from the perimeter sensor was on constantly, the oculus software would always display the "hardware not working" notification each time I'd try it on after every attempt.
2020年12月27日 · Honestly, the Quest 2 might have been the better option, as it is easier to get link running than the Rift S Connection. Also, before getting the adapter, you might want to check in your systems settings whether you actually have your grafics card connected to one of the USB. If not, you will not get the rift running, sadly as it is.

2022年2月15日 · And in my experience, the Rift is even better than the Rift S, except for the display. How comfortable it is, the sturdiness, the controllers everything is way better on the Rift. With the Quest2, the PCVR experience takes more fiddling to setup - bitrate, hz, wired vs wireless, compatible pc/network hardware.

I want to test myself but it's too risky if I can't return the laptop the shop only because the Oculus Rift S didn't work. Maybe I'll just wait for someone to confirm the compatibility here. Uninstalling the Oculus software, deleting the Oculus folder from the C: drive, deleting the Oculus folders from my user AppData (Roaming, Low, and LocalLow), and reinstalling Oculus. Installing all the Windows Updates. Reinstalling my NVIDIA graphics drivers.
