聖多默宗徒堂是一所開放式的天主教聖堂，目的是讓鄰近居民體會到天主的臨在。 聖堂的落地玻璃代表教會與整個世界的連繫，亦提醒在堂內祈禱的信眾不要忘記為世界祈禱， 並與普世萬民同行，分享基督救恩。 聖堂建築設計概念. 不規則多邊形狀的地盤，被用來發展成大樓的不規則五邊形體。 教堂的入口與祭壇連貫成一軸線。 無論在大樓的外部還是內部，這根軸線都是不對稱地平衡空間與實體的。 整幢大樓從垂直向上分佈，有主聖堂，多功能禮堂、幼兒園、會議室、神父宿舍和停車場等。 這種垂直重疊佈置與傳統的歐洲教堂極不相同。 開啟大門. 聖堂的大門，由十六幅銅畫，以三個主題組成，大門正中兩行是救恩史，由聖母領報展開序幕，繼後耶穌誕生、死亡、復活、多默認主、耶穌升天，最後以聖神降臨及多默死亡作結。
本天主堂位於青衣青綠街5號，乃一幢六層高王新型的建築物，環境幽靜獨立，鄰近青衣市中心公園。 距離青衣機鐵站不遠，步行約十分鐘便可到達，聖堂對面為青衣邨巴士總站，交通方便。 聖堂約可容納五百多人，作為基督徒舉行彌撒、婚配，和祈禱的地方。
